Released!


Finished up yesterday, super happy with how it turned out. There are a few things I wished worked out differently. The flying mechanic I'm not the biggest fan of. Its functional, but I wished it was less "wave-like momentum" and more "gliding", if that makes sense. Also, a bug I noticed was that the morph coins don't actually go away when you collect them. If you go over the area again the noise still plays and the character will change if they aren't already in that form. Just a little bit of quality control I wish I had more time to mull over, but in the grand scheme of things I'm not going to lose sleep over it. If I ever expand this into a larger game though, the flying and the morph coins I will definitely have another go at.

This morning I also tried to do a web version as that's more likely to get plays but unfortunately the way the save function worked it was practically incompatible with a HTML export. For instance, when I tried it by getting to the first checkpoint, I then saved & quit, refreshed the page, then played it again. What it would do in the executable is bring me to the location of the last check point, but in the web version it did not (at least, not on the y axis location). In this case I have no idea if its going to save between levels like its been shown to do in the executable. This is for a game jam so I have no time to bug fix this, so its going to be download only.
